Due to all our activities for the special protection of employees and customers, Tekno-Medical receives the certificate "certified company with regard to
"SARS-CoV-2 health and safety standard" according to the guidelines of the
German Federal Ministry of Labour
and Social Affairs (BMAS).

GREEN ELECTRICITY FROM GREENPEACE

Tekno-Medical obtains consistent green electricity that conform to strictest criteria of Greenpeace e.V. In terms of reducing CO2 emissions and preventing nuclear waste, an important contribution is being made to climate and environmental protection and to the success of the energy transition.

LASER MARKING With the successful introduction of the ultra-short pulse laser, Tekno-Medical is setting pioneering impulses. Compared to traditional marking by chemical etching, laser marking impresses with the ability to label an individual matrix code, as well as a more contrasting and abrasion-resistant labelling.

After extensive preparation, we have adapted our quality management system to the requirements of the revised DIN EN ISO 13485. At the end, our QM system is certified by our notified body mdc certification company according to DIN EN ISO 13485: 2016.

ULTRASONIC CLEANING SYSTEM
The fully-automatic fine cleaning system allows a valid process and the cleaning of instruments in great quantities. The processing and hold-up time as well as the dosing and monitoring of the cleaning compound are unchanging and guarantee a continuously high quality.

On April 1st 2016, Tekno-Medical celebrated its 40th anniversary. Tekno-medical is a global family-owned company with approximately 100 employees, that uses  experience and visions. The picture shows the founder B. Mattes with his first employees A. Dölker and E. Betzler.

INTRODUCTION OF THE LBA SECURITY PROGRAM

Introduction and realization of the LBA (Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics) security program as a governmental acknowledged and known sender. Tekno-Medical thus is validated and certified by the German LBA (Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics).

JOINING OF THE SONS TO THE MANAGEMENT BOARD

The admission of the sons Florian and Harald Mattes to the board is an important step into the secured future of the family-owned enterprise. In that course, Tekno-Medical changes the company’s name into Tekno-Medical Optik-Chirurgie GmbH.

MORE SPACE FOR MORE PRECISION

State of the art CNC machines in combination with service robots allow a high-precision production. Increasing production quantities require more space, which is realized by the construction of a new production building.

CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TO DIN EN ISO 13485

A further important milestone regarding quality assurance is the certification according to DIN EN ISO 13485. This represents the answer to the requirements for a capacious management system regarding design and manufacturing of medical products.

STATE OF THE ART LOGISTICS

Due to the increasing volume of orders and the growing demands for warehouse capacity, a new building at the site in Tuttlingen-Nendingen is built. Incoming orders can now be treated quickly and effectively.

CERTIFICATION ACCORDING TO DIN EN ISO 9001

With this certification, Tekno-Medical guarantees to maintain a QM-system which proves assured quality procedures for development, design, production, assembly and services. Tekno-Medical commits itself to a continuous improvement process.

ENTERING INTO THE FIELD OF ENDOSCOPY

With the early concentration on endoscopic instruments and units, Tekno-Medical offers cutting-edge products and strengthens its position as a high-grade full-service provider for the OR. Today endoscopic products represent an important part of the business volume.

PRODUCTION IS ADDED

Foundation of the sister company medi-plus Instrumente GmbH & Co. KG and construction of the production facility at the site of the parent company. Manufacturing of high quality instruments for surgery, endoscopy and orthopaedics, to some extent also as OEM.

FIRST BUILDING AT THE PRESENT LOCATION

The hitherto rented rooms can no longer keep up with the expansion of the company. The newly built premises in the industrial area of Tuttlingen-Nendingen give relief.

FDA APPROVAL

The approval by the US federal agency FDA (Food and Drug Administration) certifies security and effectiveness of Tekno-Medical products. The FDA approval allows Tekno-Medical to export its products to the USA.

FIRST APPEARANCE IN A TRADE SHOW

With its first appearance at MEDICA and Interhospital, Tekno-Medical presents itself to an expert public. The presentation of the company and its products as well as socializing are put to the fore.

FORMATION OF THE COMPANY

Tekno-Medical Optik-Chirurgie GmbH & Co. KG is founded in 1976 by Bruno Mattes as a trading firm.
